Seeing patients through telemedicine through COVID-19 pandemic.
Click on the Schedule link where you will be able to schedule your initial appointment. All initial appointments will need to be completed in-person, per federal guidelines. Once you schedule your appointment you will receive a confirmation email.
Your initial appointment includes a discussion about gender transitioning, a review of your full medical history, and a conversation about your health care goals. We will discuss your lab testing, medication risks and benefits, and plan for follow-up visits. If you are already on hormone replacement therapy, we would be more than happy to continue your current regimen after the initial screening and lab work.
At the conclusion of your first appointment, you will receive paperwork to take to Lab Corp. Once we receive your blood lab results they will be shared confidentially through your patient portal.
Your follow-up appointments can be done from the convenience of your home or anywhere you prefer, such as through your mobile device, tablet, or laptop! These appointments are the opportunity to discuss the various hormone therapy options and decide which method fits into your lifestyle. Or, if you are already on hormone replacement therapy, these appointments can be used to revisit dosages to maintain your treatment levels.
Your prescription can be taken to a local pharmacy. Usually, hormone treatments are reasonably priced if you do not have insurance.
During the first year of treatment, follow-up visits and lab work are scheduled every 3 months to ensure treatment efficacy and safety. Once your dosages are adjusted and hormonal levels have normalized, follow-up visits are typically done every 6 months thereafter. If you are already on hormone replacement therapy and your levels are stable, you can expect 2-3 visits the first year and visits every 6 months thereafter.
